Sketch of a friend’s character, Brian. =3
Lleld and Jekkanedar from Joanne Bertin’s Dragonlord series. A friend requested art of them eons ago and I finally managed to slap some passable finishing touches onto it. I still need a lot of work with lighting. The contrast in the characters is pretty poor I think. Constructive critique welcome.
omg i finally finished the second half. it was sitting on my hard drive with just rapunzel and merida left for like….a year? crayzeh
Pocahontas: Unicorn because according to disney canon shes a shaman, and thats why she can talk to Gramma Willow and the magic leaves always follow her around. I used the leaves for her cutie mark to represent her powers, which would be her special talent.
Mulan: Pretty clear I think. Her sword, since her special talent is fighting, and a blossom like the one in her hair comb to represent her beauty and feminine side. I was tempted to draw up apparel for her other looks but ….maybe in the future.
Rapunzel: Probably should have made her a unicorn, but I think she just looks too cute as an Earth Pony. Her cutie mark is the royal emblem with a paintbrush. It was a bit hard to decide on her ‘special talent’ because she’s good at SO MANY THINGS. But I decided her artistic ability seemed to be the most pronounced and the most unique from the other princesses. Also the sun symbol has the added benefit of eluding to the Sun Flower that cured her mother/ made her magical.
Tiana: Her cutie mark is a pan, since her special talent is cooking, with the steam coming up suggesting the shape of a frog, (at least, thats what thats supposed to be.)
Merida: Freckles and a cutie mark of a Bear Print to represent her relationship with her mother, and her bow since her special skill is archery.
